Superhero Movie. Not to be confused with Date/Epic/Etc. Movie.

February 1, 2008 at 11:40 am (Movies)

In what appears to be yet another redundant attempt in reincarnating the parody movie, Dimension Films has released the trailer for their new movie, Superhero Movie. Sigh. They still haven’t gotten the memo it seems. These films are dead! Thanks to the over usage of Paris Hilton (what does she have to do with a parody film?), poorly casted look-alikes and the horrible jokes. It is being produced by David Zucker, who made Naked Gun (Leslie Nielsen anyone?) and being written by the guy who wrote Scary Movie 3. It also appears to be skewing mainly Spider-Man. I’ll let you make up your mind with the trailer. As for me? I remain utterly underwhelmed. Release date is March 28.

Edit: Well turns out that the trailer is taken down everywhere for now. You can still find it at select places however. May I suggest watching it here?

Cobalt Blue DS Lite? Yes Please.

February 1, 2008 at 11:27 am (Games)

Nintendo has indeed confirmed that they will be releasing a cobalt blue DS Lite. Doesn’t it look great? So far, that makes it 7 colors for the US and most likely, more to come. Nothing much is changing with this new color. Just a must have for those who love cobalt blue I guess. Doesn’t it look all shiny and purty?

Beetles = Alien Love?

February 1, 2008 at 11:11 am (Electronics)

You might have heard through the grapevine that come Feb. 4, NASA will be broadcasting the Beetles song “Across the Universe” in an attempt to contact any alien beings out there. Huh? Come again? Does this necessarily sound like a good plan? I may not be a skeptic when it comes to these matters but I’m not entirely a believer either. And why the Beetles? Is it because music is “universal?” It just feels like a waste of time to me I guess. If aliens wanted to contact us, they would’ve by now. Anyone else have any thoughts on this subject?
