Captain America is Back…Kind of.
Captain America #34 sold out folks. And for a good reason as well. Jam-packed with exciting writing and the action scenes are well fleshed out. Oh? What’s that you say? Captain America died*? Well yes and no. The real Captain America (R.I.P. Steve Rogers) did die but the mantle has now been passed on to his sidekick, Bucky Barnes aka Winter Soldier. The new issue was the premiere of the new Captain America and it has been drawing praise from critics everywhere. So you definitely should check it out. Enjoy the awesome picture and know that you could be reading that right now if you had the comic.
*In my own opinion, I think he could still be alive due to the whole Skrull Invasion thingie. But that’s just my opinion and a whole other story.
The Force Unleashed will blow your mind?
Lucasarts is a pretty smart company. They have some pretty impressive games under their belts and they are holding on to a beloved franchise that many fans still cling on too (Chewbacca for life). But with their new game, The Force Unleashed, they plan on bringing the surprise. They say that they have a surprise in the game that is comparable to the moment in Empire Strikes Back. You know, the whole, “Luke, I am your father” (chills). Though that remains yet to be seen, one wonders what said announcement could be.
Is this the work of Godzilla?
Maybe you haven’t heard of this strange little happening down over in Japan and the Middle East, but for some strange reason, they are having their underwater cables mysteriously cut. Clean cut might I add. And they don’t know what is going on. At first, some were being pegged as being cut by improperly anchored ships. But then more kept breaking and now they are really confused as to what is causing this mess. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to comment on this strange situation. For me? It’s probably Godzilla. Should have never dumped that nuclear waste right?
Could Josh Brolin be the next Arnold?
So you know Terminator 4 is under works right? And you know that the new John Connor is going to be Christian Bale (woohoo!) right? Well, in a recent interview with the director of the movie, McG (yeah, that is actually his name), he was quoted on who his choice might be for the lead role of the Terminator.
McG: You know, those are big shoes to fill. If you go back and look at the first picture it’s so funny because there’s such a decided difference between what Arnold was doing in the first picture and in the second and third picture. I mean there’s this decided physicality – look what Robert Patrick did to get ready for the role. He’s a guy who I adore, I put him in every movie I’ve ever done. And it’s very difficult to say because it’s a decidedly masculine role and I think we’re living in a time where a lot of actors are very effeminate and they’re sort of skinny, heroine chic and there’s really a masculine component to the role. And there’s guys out there like Russell Crowe and Eric Bana, bring a good physicality, they do what they do, but I don’t know if they’re exactly right at the end of the day. (Smiles) Josh Brolin is a very exciting actor – we’ll see.
I loved Brolin in No Country for Old Men (if you haven’t seen it, may I suggest you do?) and I wouldn’t mind one bit seeing him in here either. Cross our fingers.
