Apple making a handheld gaming device?

February 10, 2008 at 12:50 pm (Games)

So recently, from the grapevine, word is that Apple wants to make a handheld gaming device and challenge the market that is currently being dominated by Sony and Nintendo. With the recent success of the iPhone and the iPod still going strong, one has got to think that currently, whatever Apple decides to touch will turn to gold right on the spot. Like a King Midas touch or something similar to that. It would be curious to see this in action, I must say. After all, more competition breeds better games for us. So lets see what Apple does with this.

Secret Invasion starts April, any thoughts?

February 10, 2008 at 12:42 pm (Comics)

So the MEGA-ULTRA-SUPER EVENT (Marvel’s sentiment, not mine exactly, I mean, I’m excited for this but…lets get on with the post) Secret Invasion will schedule to launch this April and it has gotten me thinking, who is a Skrull? We know that Elektra was a Skrull (who cared?) Captain America could’ve been a Skrull. In my opinion, my list of Skrulls follow as listed:

Reed Richards – Seems to have questionable morals nowadays. Just my two cents.

Ronin/Clint Barton – Seems to be iffy with the whole, I’m alive again thing.

Luke Cage/Jessica Jones/their baby – I’m sure you saw the eyes of that creepy little bugger. And if that baby is a Skrull, then one or both of the parents have to be one as well.

Captain Marvel – A recent reincarnation is always something to be a suspect for.

Colossus – See above reason.

So those would be my picks. Care to share yours?

Ellen Page to be dragged down to Hell

February 10, 2008 at 12:27 pm (Movies)

Ellen Page. I like her. I adore her. Still need to see Juno though. But Sam Raimi and Universal Pictures has announced that they will be asking her to be the main victim in Sam Raimi’s return to horror (yay!) and I couldn’t agree more with the decision. Great, talented actress paired with a great, talented director does usually equal win but I’m not about to pronounce this a winner just yet. Always have to see the movie first. It’s a rule I have come to develop after some more disappointing films with promising trailer/premises. But, as always, should any more news arrive, then I will keep you posted.

New Forbidden Kingdom Trailer (the movie with Jet Li and Jackie Chan)

February 10, 2008 at 12:15 pm (Movies)

Holy Chinese Monkeys, this is a pretty good trailer. After seeing the first one, I walked away from it thinking that it would be a little more humor based, seeing as these fine gentlemen (Jet Li and Jackie Chan) are getting old. They really aren’t as nimble as they used to be. And then this trailer came out. Looks like my previous assumption is now gone and instead I’m wondering if there won’t be too much fighting. I mean, that could ruin a movie. Could being the operative word. If done right, this could be one hell of a movie. Anywho, enough rambling, here’s that trailer. Hope you enjoy it like I did.

In case you were wondering, I do prefer Jet Li. He’s a little more serious. But only slightly. I still love me some Jackie Chan.
