Yet another remake announcement.

Breakfast Club this time. Yes, it is true. I really enjoy Breakfast Club. I would really not enjoy a remake of said movie. See what I did there? Just what goes through these peoples head is questionable. Well, okay, not really questionable. The sound of money is probably what goes through their head. Over and over and over… The remake will not only be called a remake, but is actually a remake in every way imaginable. The new title will be “Bumped” and it will take place in an airport with twentysomethings. Also changing are the stereotypes of the original movie. Say hello to corporate go-getter, a musician, and a flirt. Who knows what the other two could be.

Well I didn’t see this one coming…

Rosemary’s Baby is the latest in a long line of recent announcements of horror movies being rebirthed, so to speak. By Michael Bay’s production company, Platinum Dunes, no less. Since when did Michael Bay express so much interest in horror? I thought he was just into mindless action with dumb usage of camera closeups (zing!). But seriously, has history ever taught these people anything? Many remakes are just plain bad. There’s no sugarcoating it. So I will await this movie, and probably be disappointed, but you never know. One of these remakes has got to be good, right? For those curious on what the cast will be like, reportedly it will star Mia Farrow, John Cassavetes, Sidney Blackmer and Ruth Gordon. I’m not sure who the last two are. Might want to imdb them.

Liev Schreiber is Sabertooth.

March 4, 2008 at 9:50 am (Movies)

I bet you were wondering how Liev Schreiber looks like as Sabertooth, huh? Well, that is how he looks like. Notice the muttonchops. Or the artificial nails. Yes, indeed. It looks like they went all the way with this one. I just hope that he plays a better one than whats-his-face. That guy barely even talked.

Page already replaced.

March 4, 2008 at 9:44 am (Movies)

Well, that was quick. Seems as though Sam has already found a replacement for his upcoming movie, Drag Me to Hell. That replacement is none other than Alison Lohman. She seems adequate enough even though I would have preferred Page, but hey, I’m just excited that this movie is actually getting somewhere. Production is to start on March 31st. Let’s hope Lohman can deliver!
