Femtolaser. Now I can be Wolverine!

I know what you are thinking. This is all just hocus pocus. You are just talking hot air. But I kid you not people. Remember that one post a while back about the super laser? Well turns out that the super laser is useful for two different things. The first is of course, the more practical application in that you can destroy cancerous cells without destroying the surrounding cells around it. Which could, read could, mean the end of chemotherapy (and mebbe cancer?). However, the second application is the one that really has me interested. Apparently, with this laser, you can actually fuse metal with bone. FUSE METAL WITH BONE PEOPLE. What was once thought to be in the realm of Science Fiction is now pretty much possible. They do it by fusing the metal powder onto the bone, instead of using molten metal. Pretty much just made your day right? I know, I try.

Now cyclists can signal too!

This is exactly the kind of smart thinking that the world needs more of. How come I haven’t thought of this? Anywho, Ph.D student Leah Buechley invented a jacket that features some signal lights for when she’s cycling and wants to avoid dying by cars. Pretty much everything to do with the invention was developed by Leah herself. She calls the computer chip the Lilypad Arduino. Nike? You should hop on this pronto.
