We knew it was coming, Robocop remake.

March 19, 2008 at 10:18 am (Movies)

You read that right, Robocop remake. Personally, I enjoyed this movie and I am kinda sorta maybe looking forward to it. Who knows? Maybe they will get one remake right? And maybe this will be like all of the other remakes done in Hollywood and be senselessly dumbed down and redone into a hulking, steaming pile of human waste product. Who knows. I’ll tell you what though. With news of all of these remakes coming out, you really can’t help but wonder what exactly won’t be touched. I’m telling you, Total Recall will be remade. You all heard it here first.

This is definitely overkill in the bling department.

March 16, 2008 at 11:06 am (Electronics)

Crystal Icing is one heck of an amazing company. Sure, when you think of awesome, you don’t necessarily think of putting crystals on your Wii. But this is the exception. These babies just looks amazing. AMAZING. So much detail goes into each one and the price tag shows. $4,000 for one. If only I had the cash for that… Now accepting donations for my, uh, bad liver. I have to get surgery people. Apparently, costs $4,000 for the surgery, so yeah, anything would be appreciative. Hit the jump for a look at their other creation, Zelda style! Yes, that is a Transformers lighter. No, you can’t have it.

March 16, 2008 at 11:00 am (Electronics)

A work of beauty aren’t they? Japanese always have all of the fun don’t they? So pretty much the only way you are going to get your mitts on these babies is if you somehow pre-order it or buy it on eBay or something because there is only 300 of these going out. 300. That’s limited edition written all over it. They come available in black and silver and both do make you want to smoke. Heck, I would buy it just to say that I have it. Wonder how much it costs…

Femtolaser. Now I can be Wolverine!

March 15, 2008 at 11:47 am (Electronics)

I know what you are thinking. This is all just hocus pocus. You are just talking hot air. But I kid you not people. Remember that one post a while back about the super laser? Well turns out that the super laser is useful for two different things. The first is of course, the more practical application in that you can destroy cancerous cells without destroying the surrounding cells around it. Which could, read could, mean the end of chemotherapy (and mebbe cancer?). However, the second application is the one that really has me interested. Apparently, with this laser, you can actually fuse metal with bone. FUSE METAL WITH BONE PEOPLE. What was once thought to be in the realm of Science Fiction is now pretty much possible. They do it by fusing the metal powder onto the bone, instead of using molten metal. Pretty much just made your day right? I know, I try.

Now cyclists can signal too!

March 15, 2008 at 11:24 am (Electronics)

This is exactly the kind of smart thinking that the world needs more of. How come I haven’t thought of this? Anywho, Ph.D student Leah Buechley invented a jacket that features some signal lights for when she’s cycling and wants to avoid dying by cars. Pretty much everything to do with the invention was developed by Leah herself. She calls the computer chip the Lilypad Arduino. Nike? You should hop on this pronto.

Hulk smash!

March 14, 2008 at 11:15 am (Movies)

Yes, it is the moment you have all been waiting for. The Incredible Hulk trailer! Okay, okay, so technically I may be a little late to the party but it’s the thought that counts right? Besides, work kept me from attending this shindig yesterday (which also explains the lack of posting yesterday). But I’m here now and so is the trailer. If you have yet to see it, head on over here to view it. Looks promising and the inclusion of Abomination should prove to give us tons of action, which seemed to be missing from the first movie. Enjoy!

Yet another new Street Fighter Character!!!

March 12, 2008 at 8:53 am (Games)

Two posts in a row about fighting games. Weird. Famitsu (crafty Japanese people who run an awesome magazine) have published one particular image of a new character to be introduced in the upcoming game of Street Fighter IV. Apparently his name is El Fuerte, which the always reliable Babel Fish is telling me means “the fort” in Spanish. Sounds pretty appropriate for a luchador. Nothing much else has been revealed about him but I expect Capcom will release a trailer showcasing his style or moves. When that happens, I’ll have it up. Till then, use your imagination.

Soul Caliber IV looking hot.

March 12, 2008 at 8:47 am (Games)

Well, well. It’s looking like Soul Caliber IV will be the next-gen fighting game to play that features weapons. I hold the top fighting game to be Street Fighter IV. Only time will tell which one is actually better though. Anywho, the new trailer for Soul Caliber IV was released and it’s looking mighty purdy. But of course, that’s what a trailer is supposed to do. Look good. Where am I going with this? Not even I know anymore…Perhaps you should just enjoy the trailer. Link is here!

Zergs!~

March 10, 2008 at 11:24 am (Games)

Finally, the day has come. Blizzard has just released the Zerg intro trailer over in Korea (lucky) and now we get our first glimpse at the action. Man, I love the Zerg and this just helps to reinforce my unconventional love for them. Wish the trailer was a better quality but you take what you can get. Trailer can be found here courtesy of Gamevideos.com. Please to enjoy!

Box Art for Soul Caliber IV asks, Vader or Yoda?

March 10, 2008 at 11:11 am (Games)

Ugh, call me weird but the new box art revealed for the upcoming game Soul Caliber IV (one is for the PS3 and one is for the 360) just look ugly. I understand the company and its need to promote the fact that they have Star Wars characters in their game (which doesn’t make sense to me) but to take it into this direction seems kind of hokey. Just stick to the tried and true formula….wait, what am I saying? They did this for the second games box art too. Just nitpicking I guess. Go Vader!
