First look at the new M. Night Shyamalan’s The Happening.

Mr. Night is one director that people love to hate. With just cause too. He launched his career with The Sixth Sense and it had, still to this day, one of the best climaxes in the scene. Everyone loved it. And so we waited for his next film. Which was Unbreakable. That turned out to be a disappointment. Supposedly his take on the whole superhero genre. But we could forgive him, because he gave us, “I see dead people.” Then Signs came out, and it was not the success of The Sixth Sense, but still a good movie overall. Once again, we hoped for the next film. Only to have us disappointed again with the complete turnaround that was The Village. Not saying that its a bad movie. But the way it was marketed as a horror film was completely the wrong way to go. Thus, we come across the Happening (not really going to count The Lady in the Water). It looks good, looks semi-scary, great cast so far. Only time will tell if its good or not. I’ll let you be the judge with the trailer.

i still believe that m. night could come up with good movies. “the happening” seems like “Wars of the worlds”, even the poster reminded me of it but i’ll still watch it.
