Gears of War movie to come out in 2010, mebbe.

March 31, 2008 at 10:45 am (Movies)

Twilight producer Wyck Godrey (weird name) has announced that he’s got the script and the director to attach to the film and that the film could come out as early as 2010. Stuart Beattie is the director attached to the film at the moment, but don’t expect anything concrete with it, as that is how Hollywood rolls. On a side note, the sequel, Gears of War 2 is slated to be released in November 2008 so keep your eyes peeled out for that one. Should be fun, yeah?

Two new G.I. Joe screens out, looks like a fun family movie.

March 21, 2008 at 9:20 am (Movies)

Silent. Deadly. That is ninja. The new G.I. Joe movie hasn’t really had much revealed when it comes to the movie (sans the two or three pictures that I have posted earlier. Those were ‘unofficial.’), so when they reveal one of the most anticipated characters (for me at least), it fills me up with excitement. Pictured above is the enigmatic Snake Eyes, who is played by Ray Park. For those of you who don’t really know who that is, its basically the guy who played as Darth Maul and Toad. Cool cat in my book and I look forward to seeing him play this character. Also, by going to imdb.com and searching his name, It would seem as though he was cast as Danny Rand (a.k.a. Iron Fist) without me knowing. Which immediately makes him my favorite actor and also immediately makes my research team fired. How could you guys not inform me? What? You were too busy? With what? Eating bananas? Bad monkeys! Get back in the cage! Sigh, I need to hire some people. You just can’t trust monkeys like you used to.

First Wolfman pictures for a hairy good time…

March 20, 2008 at 8:18 am (Movies)

Ugh, that joke actually sounded better in my head then it does all written out. Well, that could be because my head is an extraordinary place with fairies and pixies and chocolate toilets (don’t ask) or it could be because I have a devastating sense of humor and wit. I prefer to go with the latter. The first one makes me sounds like Britney Spears (Hey oh!). Anywho, this is one of the new pictures that surfaced on Entertainment Weekly that shows Benicio Del Toro (doesn’t that mean ‘of the bulls?’) in full makeup. I must say, it looks like they are definitely sticking to the original as much as possible. Looking good so far. Let’s just hope this means good things for us horror fans. Link for the original news announcement (plus an additional picture) can be found here. Enjoy!

We knew it was coming, Robocop remake.

March 19, 2008 at 10:18 am (Movies)

You read that right, Robocop remake. Personally, I enjoyed this movie and I am kinda sorta maybe looking forward to it. Who knows? Maybe they will get one remake right? And maybe this will be like all of the other remakes done in Hollywood and be senselessly dumbed down and redone into a hulking, steaming pile of human waste product. Who knows. I’ll tell you what though. With news of all of these remakes coming out, you really can’t help but wonder what exactly won’t be touched. I’m telling you, Total Recall will be remade. You all heard it here first.

Hulk smash!

March 14, 2008 at 11:15 am (Movies)

Yes, it is the moment you have all been waiting for. The Incredible Hulk trailer! Okay, okay, so technically I may be a little late to the party but it’s the thought that counts right? Besides, work kept me from attending this shindig yesterday (which also explains the lack of posting yesterday). But I’m here now and so is the trailer. If you have yet to see it, head on over here to view it. Looks promising and the inclusion of Abomination should prove to give us tons of action, which seemed to be missing from the first movie. Enjoy!

Indy is looking good.

March 10, 2008 at 11:02 am (Movies)

New poster for the new movie. Looks good huh? I’m still not sure how they are going to pull of the whole Indiana Jones still doing stunts even though he is like 60. Maybe I’m just being pessimistic. We’ll find out on May 22.

Two New Speed Racer Trailers!

March 10, 2008 at 11:00 am (Movies)

Go Speed Racer Go! Oh boy, just good times when I remember my childhood and watching this cartoon. Anywho, I digress. I’m sure most of you out there have heard of the new Speed Racer adaptation (and if you haven’t, well now you have) and I’m sure most of you have seen the trailer. Well, I bring to you another couple of trailers, this time international and it brings some additional footage which has never been seen before. Most of the racing CGI looks extremely good and proves (to me) that the Wachowski Brothers can indeed make a different kind of film other than The Matrix. Which is a relief. Dialogue doesn’t sound too cheesy, which was one of the nags from the cartoon. I can’t wait for this to come out! Trailer A and Trailer B. Enjoy!

New Iron Man Poster.

Can anyone say Star Wars? I knew that you could. But seriously, doesn’t it look like a Star Wars knock-off? Just my two cents…

Prince of Persia to be filmed in Morocco.

March 6, 2008 at 2:19 pm (Movies)

So that Prince of Persia movie, where’s the news on it? Well there isn’t much. Only thing new to be released about it is that the location has indeed been chosen. It is going to be filmed in Morocco (for all of you who flunked geography, that’s a country in Africa, near the North Atlantic coast). So now the location is set, only thing left to be announced is the cast. I wonder who they will find to play the role of the prince. Better be someone who fits the role. None of this, “Hey, let’s cast a guy who is a popular actor but looks nothing like the guy. Yeah, that will work.”

Yet another remake announcement.

March 4, 2008 at 10:03 am (Movies)

Breakfast Club this time. Yes, it is true. I really enjoy Breakfast Club. I would really not enjoy a remake of said movie. See what I did there? Just what goes through these peoples head is questionable. Well, okay, not really questionable. The sound of money is probably what goes through their head. Over and over and over… The remake will not only be called a remake, but is actually a remake in every way imaginable. The new title will be “Bumped” and it will take place in an airport with twentysomethings. Also changing are the stereotypes of the original movie. Say hello to corporate go-getter, a musician, and a flirt. Who knows what the other two could be.
