Whoa, Whoa, Whoa. PSP redesigned?

February 11, 2008 at 1:06 pm (Games)

I love my PSP. I love my DS. But if this redesigned PSP is actually true, then it looks like I’m going to have to rethink my current status of DS being the king of handhelds. I am indeed a fan of sliders, they just ooze future tech (kind of) and this new PSP incorporates that into a wonderful concept. By allowing the buttons to hide under the screen via slider, they allow for a huge screen which translates to better in my language. On top of that, the thing just looks beautiful. With a screen that big, they could definitely add some touch screen action and with that, I would have a hard time looking at the DS with admiration. Hit that jump if you want some sexy PSP action. Or don’t. It’s up to you. Read the rest of this entry »

What the…Who…Why…Mortal Kombat Movie?

February 11, 2008 at 12:56 pm (Games)

Mortal Kombat was one movie that you definitely don’t want to admit that you enjoyed or watched for that matter. Then they made a sequel and that was even more laughable. One only went to see that movie to bask in all of its [opposite of the word glory]. But now I bring to you an even more ludicrous announcement. That they will indeed be remaking the movie and it will be directed by the man who brought you Into the Sun. What’s that you say? Never heard of the movie? Well one only needs to hit up imdb.com to find out that Chris Morrison (his name) directed this 2005 movie and it starred Steven Seagal. Yes that Steven Seagal. The chubby guy who karate chops people with his horrible and bland acting. Hmph. One wonders whether movie executives know what they are doing and know what movies people are demanding because I’m pretty sure that this is not one of them. Ugh, long post. I’ll end this with a picture of Steven Seagal. Just to remind you readers what we are dealing with.

Edit: Okay, yes, that is not the movie the director made. But at the same time, its Steven Seagal. Don’t his movies pretty much go straight to DVD? That’s the kind of director we are dealing with.

Time travel secrets at the end of the year?

February 11, 2008 at 12:43 pm (Electronics)

Holy crap. Maybe this is just a load of bull and maybe this could be true. Russian scientists feel that by the end of the year, when the huge particle accelerator debuts, the secrets to time travel could be discovered. Could being the operative word here folks. No one is making a claim that this thing will indeed be the way to find out if time travel is possible. But imagine the possibilities. Why is it they claim that this can indeed be found? They say that when the particles collide with one another, they have a chance to rip open the “fabric of space” (so cliche) and if there were a way to study that and hold open said rip, then you can send particles through it and theoretically travel through time. Haven’t we learned already that time travel is not necessarily a good thing? I mean, one only needs to look at the lessons of The Time Machine (with Guy Pearce), The Butterfly Effect and need I say Back to the Future? Yikes, talk about awkward movies. Anyways, time travel is just not looking like a good idea. At least to me it isn’t. Who knows?

G.I. Joe to enter production starting…now!

February 11, 2008 at 11:13 am (Movies)

The ever infamous project that has man-children (such as me) to men in general frothing at the mouth has just entered production today. With the official announced cast of Sienna Miller, Rachel Nichols, Dennis Quaid, Channing Tatum and Marlon Wayans, one has got to think that this movie should pan out well (even if I don’t agree with Channing Tatum). With a scheduled release date of 2009, that puts it out with the sequel to Transformers. So that is two Hasbro related movies coming out within the same year. Sounds like a sound stock investment to me. Expect to see some pictures of the set and/or other related exclusives soon.
